Vorwort und Ziele

Preface
Dear fans of the German kurtshaar breed!
Activities of our kennel have no commercial interests.  All of our efforts in the breeding of these magnificent dogs are based solely on the love of the breed and the desire to make a modest contribution to its further development.  Please note that our puppies are  available to real hunters only.

Our goals
The purpose of breeding the German kurtshaar was to create a versatile dog, who would work after the shot just as effectively as the representatives of other breeds of dogs. Meanwhile before the shot, while working in the field, it would demonstrate its remarkable style of searching, expressive stand and subtle manner while at the game.  This goal was achieved in full.

The standard description of the German kurtshaar clearly includes all the qualities which a versatile hunting dog should possess.  These qualities allow it to comply with all the high requirements of hard hunting life into old age.  We set ourselves the task to consolidate, enrich and enhance the very high level of quality and appearance of the German kurtshaar which distinguishes it from other breeds.

Work with puppies
Starting at five weeks, puppies are carefully and on a daily basis exposed to the forest, field, water, and riding in the car.  They have regular contact with children, other dogs and strangers.

Since the first twelve weeks in the dog's life play a key role in its future as a hunter and its social life, our puppies, before being transferred to the new owner, are introduced to at least the following hunted game:  wild boar, roe, badger, fox, marten, duck, partridge, quail and wild pigeon (see Video and Gallery).  German kurtshaar is a mirror of its owner.   The purpose of the puppy owner is to promote the full future development of his dog.

Our puppies are fed exclusively on products of superior quality and are under constant surveillance by an authorized veterinarian, and dog handler of the German kurtshaar club.

Our puppies leave us no earlier than at two months of age.  A puppy is transferred to a new family with the original genealogical table of the German kurtshaar club (DKV) and the registration number tattooed on the right ear.  At the time of transfer, the puppy has been vaccinated twice against various diseases and dewormed twice. At the request of a new owner or the laws of this state, the implantation of an identification chip is possible.

Next, we offer the following services:

  • assistance in training
